2026 Get Out the Vote Toolkit for Lawyers

The Alliance for American Rule of Law (AAROL) is proud to be a member of the Nation of Laws Coalition (NOLC)—a nonpartisan group of lawyers, bar associations, and pro-democracy organizations that has mobilized thousands of lawyers to stand up for the Rule of Law nationwide. In partnership with NOLC and its members, our Alliance helped lead development of a 2026 Lawyer’s Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Toolkit full of nonpartisan resources to promote free and fair elections, voting, and the rule of law.
This GOTV Toolkit is designed to help legal professionals meet their responsibility to support election protection and encourage public participation in the November 2026 elections. In particular, the Toolkit provides a curated menu of nonpartisan resources, templates, shareable graphics, referral guides, and more to help American legal professionals:
– Inform voters of their rights and share reliable election information;
– Encourage voter participation and counter efforts to suppress the vote;
– Connect with voter support organization and volunteer opportunities;
– Communicate with their communities about voting rights and election integrity.
Highlighted resources include:
- 2026 Know Your Voting Rights Guide: A printable, 2-page flyer with key information to help voters understand and protect their rights while voting in the midterm elections (developed by Alliance Member Debra S. Cooper);
- GOTV Social Media Toolkit for Lawyers: A tailored toolkit complete with pro-voting messages, sample social media posts, shareable graphics, an open source photo bank, and referrals out to research-backed communications resources;
- Voting and Election Referral Guides: Targeted referral guides to help lawyers and other advocates find trustworthy voting support organizations, communications resources, action opportunities, and more;
- Model Bar Resolution: A Model Resolution on the Administration of Justice and Rapid Response for use by bar and other legal associations, in preparation for potential election-related crises or safety risks;
- Talking Points for Lawyers: Tailored talking points to help lawyers encourage civic engagement, counter disinformation, and promote the rule of law, including encouraging legal colleagues to take action; and
- GOTV Op-Ed Guide and Media Outreach Letter: Templates and guidance to help advocates reach out to and publish pro-voting, pro-Rule of Law messages in their local or professional media.
AAROL’s own Rule of Law Voter’s Guide and Election Disinformation Graphics are included in the Toolkit, which is available in full on the NOLC website. We encourage you to explore all the tools, and find ways to put them to use in your community!
Be sure to also follow AAROL on LinkedIn and Instagram and NOLC on Instagram, where we will share these and other resources supporting voting rights, civic engagement, and the Rule of Law throughout election season.
