What Lawyers Can Do to Protect Free & Fair Elections

The Alliance for American Rule of Law (AAROL) is proud to be a member of the Nation of Laws Coalition (NOLC)—a nonpartisan group of lawyers, bar associations, and pro-democracy organizations that has mobilized thousands of lawyers to stand up for the Rule of Law nationwide since 2025. With Rule of Law on the ballot in 2026, Coalition partners have joined forces to mobilize lawyers and other legal professions in defense of free, fair, and democratic elections.

Building on its 2026 Lawyer’s Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Toolkit and other partner initiatives, NOLC held a virtual rally to unite the legal profession in solidarity and action in advance of the November 2026 midterm elections. This rally brought inspiration—including from advocates who have fought Rule of Law erosion abroad—as well as action, as Coalition partners directed American lawyers to pressing volunteer and impact opportunities across the country. These efforts are strictly nonpartisan, as the Rule of Law protects us all, no matter our background or political persuasion.
